Life Thru the Lens 32/52... Summer is Officially Over
The Good & The Random...
Summer is officially over for Dreamer and I. Today we will plunge deep into our last year of homeschooling together; I sit here a little dumbfounded at how fast the last thirteen years have wisped by.
We began our journey because Dreamer was ready for school but the cutoff date was literally one day before his birthday. At the time, the state we lived in had a "no exceptions" rule. So, we took the leap, and one thing led to another, and before I knew it I was a full-time homeschool mom. Me, the lady who would adamantly spit the words out at anyone who dared to ask, "Ummmm, no way! I would never homeschool. I am not cut out to be a homeschool mom."
We've had our ups and downs; do not let any homeschool mom try to talk you into to thinking she doesn't have bad days. Like public school, or private school, homeschooling has its pros and cons. The grass is not greener on my side of the fence, it is just a different type of grass all together. But, I would not change these last thirteen years, they were the best years of my life, our lives.
In an effort to celebrate I spent all day Friday doing what I love... reading, journaling, and being creative.
