Life Thru the Lens 13/52.... Mermaid Dreams

The Good...

My Electric Blue submission for the Shift Art March challenge received a notice. Can you hear my excitement?!

The Random...

"Success is not an accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all love of what you are doing or learning to do." ~Pele

In pursuing my Fine Art degree I took the advice I solidly gave my kids all four years of high school. "When you go to college, choose a degree you will not regret doing, even if you cannot find a job within that field." I've taken flack over my opinion. Some people have gone as far as calling me irresponsible in giving my kids that guidance, saying that I was setting my children up for failure. Now that I am taking my own advice and pursuing a degree that might not lead to a job, I absolutely stand behind my words. I know that I will never look back on these years and think to myself, "Man, I regret all those years of learning something I love, and am passionate about."

The fun...

I am working on several compositions for three digital art collections... A Grim Tale... Transforming Anderson.... and Living Color.  My assignment was to create three distinct collections of art either from loves in my life, or hates in my life. Loves was easier to attempt right now, so I chose my love of fairy tales, and color.

Mermaid Dreams is my first composite for Transforming Anderson.  Why do you think??
